N level Sci Chem - Experimental Technique, Separation & Purification, Kinetic Particle Theory
Good (extra) morning,
The end of circuit breaker is around the corner and I have been training myself to wake up earlier than usual to get ready for school reopen.
I hope you are geared up for school, after all, you have not seen your friends for the past two months!
So in today's post, I've put together the video link for the first three topics.
A summary of popular questions based on the topics:

So in today's post, I've put together the video link for the first three topics.
A summary of popular questions based on the topics:
Experimental Technique
- Identifying apparatus based on given diagram
- Accuracy of apparatus (measuring cylinder, burette, pipette)
note:
burette measures to the nearest 0.1 cubic metre;
the burette reading is accurate to 0.05 cubic metre e.g. 22.70, 24.65

Methods of Purification
- Identify the set-up for the various method of purification
- Identify the states of matter based on given melting and boiling points.
- Chromatography - reading the results of chromatogram to identify mixture / pure substance.
- Distillation - the substance with the lower / lowest boiling point will be collected first.

Kinetic Particle Theory
- Appreciates the changes in states is caused by particles gaining / losing energy.
- Describes why temperature remained constant during the change in state.
